That could very well be. They can be a little quirky on some things. There have been some very experienced drivers that have gotten passed over because they had too many recent jobs.
If it's a situation where you can show longevity might not be that. I think what they're looking to see with regard to employment history is that you've been in your most recent job for a period of time and don't have many recent jobs more than anything.
They don't get in a hurry to do anything but they are streamlining the process. I think the fact they told you no open positions but then reposted the position would indicate something though
Ashley Furniture? Good company?

Well, I have been with the same company since 1/2012. The uniqueness comes from the actual position. I'm a "freelance driver" in the Mobile TV Studio industry. The company I've been with since 2012 is a staffing company, that basically just does payroll for the company I do work for. I've added two other companies last year, to increase my income, because as a "freelance driver", I'm not guaranteed work.

I also don't get any benefits, which is why after almost 4 years, I'm considering a move. I was hoping to find full time employment within this current section, but after 4 years of no benefits and some struggles, I want more consistency.

As far as I know, they have not filled the opening to fill the driver that just transferred 2 weeks ago, when filling out the app, outline that info in a letter, I have seen other people in a similar positon that did not outline that in a cover letter lets say, and there app did not make it threw.flyingmusician Thanks this. -
Thanks @ASHLEYDRIVER2013, I did outline that with my app. I sent along an explanation letter with my finished app.

Can not blame ya there, I also recommend that you also follow up with phone calls, it shows them the interest level you may have with the job opening, and gives you a chance to answer any question that may pop up, that they may have. -
Haha, @ASHLEYDRIVER2013, I did that as well! I called to verify that my application was received, and check to see if they needed any more info. After which I got a call stating they weren't hiring out of Brandon.

In some case's Ashley, is a little technically challenged, the person you may be talking to, may not know that there is an opening, the driver that transferred out, made the deal with the supreme boss, LOL if you know what I mean here---LOL, so it may not have filtered down to other people---yet----LOL
-
Well is there someone else I could speak to, other than the recruiter in WI? It's frustrating to see a position posted and reposted, as recently as the 26th, and be told there is no position! Haha
-
I would ask you to call, HR, ask for the head of HR, not a minion answering the phone, if you know what I mean, not a recruiter to verify, if there is still an opening. I do know that when I was hired on, they had hundreds of people applying, they say about 1 out of 100 apps make it threw for a position hire.
