I seen a truck I would like to purchase but I'm new to being an owner operator and purchasing a truck. Are there any programs, banks or institutions that offer no down or very little money down?
How can I finance a truck

If your credit is good, go talk to your local bank or credit union.

I have 3 friends all who got a truck at 'arrow' truck in phoenix...5k down, $1400 a month, if you have crappy credit, they will still approve you if you can have a carrier tell them your going to run for them...
An example of what you might find..
I recommend you spend at least 10 hours on here researching the subject...
When you go into it inexperienced, your putting your livelyhood up against luck...Lots and lots of guys here detailing out the journey, it aint no cakewalk !!lots of character and CruisingAlong Thank this. -
10 hours a day for 7 days at least!
I looked at @double yellow 's company -> independent thread. Read it all, still don't feel sure enough to go by myself.
He outlines EVERY half penny. ~$63800 was his rough estimate on start up cost. That's buying his equipment out right, no banks.
Good luck in whatever you do. I don't finance anything. So I'm of no use to you there! Sorry!

My heart goes out to anyone trying to start a new business around 90% of first time businesses go under and a large contributer to that is the financial side to it, it is especially hard to get a loan if you don't have much of a credit history their going to charge you a higher rate. I've also seen an idea out there where people have been able to finance by soliciting the public for loans and out right donations it is a very good option the finance industry naturally is all against it. Its called "Crowd Funding" the website is https://www.chuffed.org keep those wheels arollin and Gitda-done
