Get a can of adhesive remover. Spray it on and the placard will almost fall off with minimal work.

Seriously, jj, forget about all the aforementioned garbage and get the adhesive remover. Works every time.

    no seriously.

get a freaking razor blade, and get it done.

no one has time/money to waste for a container.

What would happen if you just covered the existing placards with the correct ones? (I've been out of it for a long time now. . .)

I had that problem with a placard falling off while enroute.I always made sure they gave me more the one extra one.Reason I had trouble because I was too lazy to clean the area where the placard goes.

Make sure to remove the existing placard at least the markings otherwise you're facing a fine I would imagine.

    Big Don Thanks this.

If you have placards to remove on a regular basis ... a heat gun is the very best way,, along with a good razor scraper ...easy off :)
