This is getting to the point of SERIOUSLY spiraling out of control. I am worried that this is the absolute PERFECT STORM in America that is already on the horizon. Sigh. It is getting bad for us as well where I work. Worse comes to worse I'll have to shut this puppy down as well. I HOPE not, but the costs are HIGH anymore for EVERY freaking thing!

Is FFE going to stop having O/O's paying for reefer fuel as well, or is this for company drivers only? This was the reason why I was constantly in the negative and lost my lease truck with them. Prime is no different than FFE.

I read somewhere that shippers and or receivers are billed or charged for fuel separately. I believe it was in another country, in Europe. No matter were it was it seems to be a good idea. Put the fuel problem in their hands.

Who is responsible for this 50% increase in World Energy Demand.

The steepest increase is and will be in China and India. And who is responsible for this shift. OUR COUNTRIES OWN CORPORATIONS, manufactures who moved overseas, and Wal-Mart who demanded that they move overseas so they could sell cheaper products. Greed.

Our government has the power to know what would happen if the above occured and they did nothing. In fact they allowed the shift, even encouraged it. Now our national security is not just at risk. It is being destroyed by our own government and corporations.

Both the corporations and our government did this to us. Just look at the damage it is doing to our country, our working class. Our government has become worthless to us. We need a new government. The government we have is no longer for the people. They are for the corporations. They are bought and paid for by the corp's. :biggrin_25526:
Oil may soon go to $200.00 a barrel. If gas is $1.50 a gal for every $30.00 a barrel, (this is proven), then at $200.00 a barrel gas will be $9.99 a gal. This steady move up in oil, is preparing us for $200 oil and $10.00 a gal gas. This may bring us to a new world war with China. Ironic isn't it.

    Stop the madness.

I'd like to remind everyone that majority of businesses in this country are small businesses. Which btw, are the largest employers as well.

As for the government being for corporations/business, where is all that help? And where are all of those tax breaks that everyone claims we have running a business????

I pay quarterly and probably pay more in taxes than what most people make in a year:biggrin_25510:

Be thankful that in this country we have independently owned businesses instead of government owned, subsidized, otherwise superfluous collectives.

The I.S.S. is a perfect example of what socialism does to a venture. Had U.S. aerospace been 100% behind it in design and construction, it would have been years ahead and not fraught with problems as we see now.

Until congress gets off its dead ### and stops sucking up to the liberal agenda of not drilling offshore, we all will continue to pay higher prices at the pump and the grocery store too.

Free markets are better than government controlled markets.
You might complain about the situation here, but go to anywhere else and just try tell me that they have it better than we do here in the U.S.

Be thankful you are in a country that you make so much that you have to pay so much in taxes. I wish I had to pay so much in taxes.

The free market has really proven it's self to us in recent years hasn't it. The savings & loan scandals, Michael Milken bond scandal, Enron, the dot com bubble, this massive housing crisis, the credit crisis, the food crisis, and last but not least our gas crisis. The perpose of government is to protect it's citizens from this kind of wounderful free market, ROBBERY. Remember the 'ROBBER BARONS', remember Teddy Roosevelt. People much smarter than my self have said that the free market must have control's. Capitialisim without controls, will run wild and it has. Just look around.

There is little difference in the democrats and republicans.
Clinton was Gov. of Arkansas. Guess what Wal-Mart headquarters is in AK. Did Clinton work to create good relations with China and corporations? YES he did.

Did Reagan sign Amnesty? Yes he did. Did Bush Sr. write NAFTA? Yes he did. Did Clinton sign NAFTA? Yes he did. Are there 20-60 million Mexicans in our country now? Yes there are. How much gas do 20-60 million Mexicans use? A lot. Who do they work for? The small business's you mention? Why because the people running those small business's have no jobs to go to because our countries jobs and RESOURCES are being sent overseas. So they open resturants and the carpenters who can't get a decent paying job in construction, because the Mexicans have taken over construction, have to open their own SMALL business hiring the same Mexicans that put him out of work. AND SO IT GOES......

The Mexicans also are now a huge consumer group, thanks to the small and large business's you speak of. And now they are influencing our politics', EVEN the illegals.

All that government help is allowing Mexicans and all others to invade our country legally and illegally. It is in the form of H 1B visa's who are flooding our country to provide more cheap labor and more consumers.. Government help is in the form of allowing corp's to go to China and India, and then send their products back here to the USA. They pay no taxes while you pay taxes. We all have to pay taxes. If people don't want to pay taxes then they should go to Mexico. Just look at Mexico, it's a dirt whole because little or no taxes are paid.
