Opinions on PDI Trucking School in Rochester, New York

I just graduated from there. Have you gone yet?

 

I'm thinking about joining PDI. I am curious about the drug test screening though. Is it urine or hair follicle. Plz no smart comments. I just need assistance. Everyone makes mistakes. Im learning from mine.

 

I had to pee in a cup, no hair was tested.

 

I'm looking at this school. What can you tell me about it. How many hours driving did you receive ? Were the Instructors good ? How was or was there any Job Placement ? Any info would be appreciated

 

I went there for three months, part time (16 hours per week). There were recruiters that would come in and talk to us on occasion. I liked all the instructors: knowledgeable, trustworthy, good sense of humor, and helpful whenever I asked questions.

Thought you had a CDL already?

 

Still looking, half-heartedly though. I originally went because I just wanted to learn how to drive, but once that diesel gets in your blood, it's hard to get back out, lol. I want local work and be home every night, but no one wants a newbie with no experience. And I don't want to do OTR at all if I can help it.

 

Yeah, I hear ya about the experience part. You might have to suck it up and get out there OTR for 6 months. Good luck to you !!
