Came off home time today with a pplan going to Olympia, WA.
But it was t-calling in Lewiston, ID, which I didn't understand so I called my DM.
He didn't know either and said to message him once I picked it up.

I'm sent 30 miles in the wrong direction to get an mt, adding over an hour to my pick up time.
Then at the shipper, Crown Cork and Seal, it took nearly 4 hours.
By then my DM had gone home.

So I mac-22 with a new ETA for the t-call and head out.
Just before my first fuel stop here in Fargo, ND I get a whole new set of instructions telling me to t-call in Spokane Valley because Lewiston was way out of route. Duh!
And I'm still not sure why they want me to t-call it so bad because an on time delivery the following day is very easy.

I called the planner in Lewiston directly and asked about it, telling him I would rather just take it to the final.
He said sure thing and removed the t-call order, and I'm good to go.

Eloy, Arizona at the TA, deliver in Phoenix tomorrow and of course nothing on mac30. No matter, have three days to get my 90 day inspection done. Managed 585 miles today, my focus and energy levels were through the roof.

    Tacoma, WA at Love's.

I kept getting pplans that were impossible. I think they thought I was delivering earlier than what I had sent in my last Mac 34.
The first one was a choice Sears load with 2 additional stops, everything delivering tomorrow that would have pushed my 14 (heck, every clock) to the limit. I'm glad I didn't have to take it.
After 2 bum pplans I sent another 34.

The one I accepted is a Quaker/Pepsi load headed back into MT.
I only had 1 hour of drive time left after I picked it up, and luckily I found a spot here. Not a bad spot either. It's down at the end and in the shade, and nearly a straight pull out in the morning.

My last load was coming off home time, and it delivered on Thursday.
Next weeks check will be next to nothing.
But I'm starting this week with over 1700 miles on the first day, so the following check should be killer.

Petro in New Paris, OH. Thought about getting to Effingham but just started to feel real tired all of a sudden after no real sleep last night. Today asked for permission to just BT to pick up this load 2 miles from my home instead of going 40 miles to the terminal and maybe them not having a mt and was given permission. Then this load had a stop added in Lubbock and a t-call in El Paso. Lubbock was for the 6th and the t-call was for the 5th. Made no sense at all so talked to my FM in IGH and she agreed. Go past Lubbock to t-call in El Paso and then turn around and go back north so can turn around and back south so told them, just take off the t-call plus both deliveries are FCFS, which is strange for Owens Corning load, so can now just take a relaxing ride

Along I-90 in MT at the Silver Dollar motel.

I was sent a sweet 1766 (320 empty) mile load out of Lewiston, ID, going to IL.
A planners message asked me to pick it up and they would tell me what to do with it later, probably because I don't have the hours on my 70 to deliver it by the 5th. I've only got 9 hours left for the next 2 days.
Before I picked it up I was sent a new delivery date and time - on the 7th by 1930 - so I have time for a 34 to get my hours back.
This seemed like a nice place for a 34. Good food, some gambling, a cool gift shop and a very nice motel.
    Double sweet.

It delivers on Wednesday, so I'll have over 4,000 miles for that pay period.
    Triple sweet!

    MysticHZ Thanks this.

    I don't care.
I have my load, and it will last for several days. By then the system will be back.
Actually I don't think I would care anyway, if the system was going to be down for just an hour or so.

    A tension headache?
    Never.
I go with the flow... maintain... and brace up.
I don't believe in stress; I just believe in accepting what is, and dealing with it moment by moment.
One day (or two) at a time, etc...

It may not get me rich, but then I may also outlive all of you that stress out over such small matters.

I guess that is why I will never lease or own a truck.
Way too much stress involved with all that paperwork and figuring the best fuel route and taxes and... and... and...

The headache isn't stress related, it's muscles in my neck that are messed up.
