I have a question about removing some things from my dac. I ordered a copy just to evaluate it, I was just kinda looking over it as I maybe heading back to driving here in the near future. When I got it it showed a couple of companies, that I did work for but had quit once for a better job opportunity and another for health reasons. Both incidents there equipment was returned to designated yard as well as all equipment. On one it says Eligible for rehire: pending review and on the other it says Eligible for rehire: NO. Like I said both companies I had thought I had left on good terms both companies settled with me as no money was owed. Is this standard practice and is this something I need to worry about with future employment. I have tried to contact one of said companies but have failed to make contact with the person that I am transferred to.

With the company that states 'Eligible for rehire pending review" that's good... With the other company I would call DAC and file a dispute... Within 30 days if the company you are filing a dispute against doesn't respond they will remove it from your DAC
tango Thanks this. -
Thanks for the reply like I said I have been driving for a while and I want to make sure I keep it clean.

Yup Keeping the DAC squeaky clean is a good thing

don't work for a mega carrier, and you won't really care what's on your dac.
i certainly don't.
the majority, don't use dac. the companies that do. generally aren't worth working for anyways.HorseShoe Thanks this. -
I don't see what the big deal is. Not eligible for rehire. So what? Can't make them hire you....
-
That wasn't what he was asking. He's worried about future prospect seeing that.
The big deal is, as an employer, that would raise red flags and I would want to know why he wasn't eligible for rehire and what the issue was. A company that is very strict with their hiring will take one look at that and throw his application in trash and go on to the next several that have clean DACS(or whatever it's called)TheJrodTest and HalpinUout Thank this. -
some times, when an employee leaves, the company does not want him/her back, ever, so to say "NO" to the rehire can be a normal thing.
your best bet is to call and ask that employer, why it was said NO. if then you are told something totally different, then contact DAC, the same you did to get the report, and file a rebuttal.
if either company is out of business by the way, again, contact DAC, to have them removed from your immediate report. but be forewarned, you will still be on the over all DAC file..
i know of this, from my personal experience. -
Yep, that overall dac is BS. like having a whole entire file of your entire life history. That really shouldn't be of any concern anyways.
I hope they get shut down, with all the lawsuits they apparently have now. Once a month i get one of them lawsuit letters in the mail. Like i'm sure many of you are getting now. Also.HotH2o and HalpinUout Thank this. -
yeah, i still get that legal stuff, in fact, on average, each time..??
i get 4 the same day.
