Stopped at the Love's in Buckeye. Was just going to park in the fuel island and take a leak (in the bathroom of course!) but saw actual parking spots so I called it a day. 585 miles and 10.5 hours. Not bad for mostly California.

 

If it's like my old Volvo, it's the NOX sensor messing up.

 

Sitting at the house just got done watching Dr. Doolitte 3 with my 2 girls and wife. Just got done with NCIS and now Blue Bloods. Being on the road makes you appreciate the little things. My 6 soon to be 7 year old was tickled to crawl up in my lap.and watch the movie and that just made her right. I am truly grateful to be home most weekends though I stay out because besides my pension driving is our only income. Makes me think if I could really do some of you all do and stay out for weeks at a time.

 

I thought about starting a new thread with this title. " My Trainer was a Real Bear ... " .... Here he is at the wheel ...

 

He'd really beat me up when I'd mess up and scratch a gear ..... .................. but I'd tell him ta' Get off my back and show him I deserved a little respect !! ...... that's why I come here to this thread, I get as little respect here as humanly possible, eh ? .... I mean, I can Bearly stand it ....

Hey.. that Pilot in Wood River, NE is AWFUL... Stopped there just for fuel... don't plan on doing it again... had forgotten how the entrance to the fuel bays is... and no place to pull up after fueling... and too tight... and too many four wheelers in the way.... Had to wait over 10 mins just to get to fuel bay... then, had to park truck to go inside and buy some bananas cause didn't want to leave truck at fuel bay after fueling... there were other eager to fuel drivers behind me...

 

Hey Mr. SGIT, there was still A LOT of fog on I-80 this morning in the Cheyenne area...
Now parked at a big rest area in MO, having my supper in the truck and gotta go to bed soon.... gotta get up at 3:30 am and hit the road... I hate when my driving hrs end at a place like Nashville, TN... Even at early afternoon, don't think will park at that TA and much less that Love's... Think will park early... if the tiny truck stop west of Nashville has one empty spot for me... Shall see...
