We spent the last two days down at the Waxahachie Quality yard and nothing. You pretty much have to camp out there and/or walk in at just the right time. So he's just going to stick with the brand new Volvo 670 that his recruiter has for him. It's not what he wants, but he can make it work for a few years. He won't buy out the lease at the end of the three years, though. Hopefully we can make enough to save up for a truck he wants at the end of the lease.

I thought you've been having good luck with your truck????...also, as a used truck owner, I can tell you, unless your a mechanic yourself, it aint all it's cracked up to be.....

I can tell you from my experience, that of a buddy of mine...and pretty much every O/O in my company with trucks ranging from 1996 to 2008...the repairs + used truck payment equal a new truck payment....

Now if your a tech yourself, you can eliminate labor costs, but you still have parts and downtime...

Frankly, I've been looking at some of the mfr. all inclusive leases and seems to me, they're more and more the way to go...

Hay quick thought also.. I would check with TEL ((423) 463-3392
Chattanooga, TN) and see what there Volvo is weekly and also what Quality weekly rate is on that Volovo??? Might be a little cheaper than Roadrunner?? Just a thought..

Last week, $1 dollar fuse, this week $4,300 in tires, the week before $225 on a used tire to get me home, the week before $150 for a rear seal, week before that $4600 (Kingpins, front end, rear heater core, clutch job and some other stuff)...and the list doesn't include a new radio ($200), new steering wheel ($200), new rear quarter fenders that the blowout took out $115... and all the interior odds and ends on a Freightshaker that come apart or come loose ...

Granted, some would run the truck without fixing some stuff....they see the truck as a disposable tool, which, in a way, it is. But it's also where we spend ... in some cases 20hrs a day......sooo....I for one would get depressed in a rattletrap 20 hrs a day!!!

My husband talked to Doug yesterday and all they have is the freightshaker right now through TEL. And Quality didn't have anything. We walked all around their yard the past two days. It's hot out there, too! :p Do you happen to remember if the Volvo's at TEL were 670's or 780's? My husband is just wondering if he went with one of the used trucks Doug has and then switch to a new one when they have something better...

I just spoke to TEL about 2 hours ago and they told me they had Volvos.. The issue is}}}}}}} Bruenger probably don't have none at the yard.. I thought they where the bigger one but you would have to call TEL and ask..
