I wish I could find out who he worked for and put my app in. Believe he was from the Jamestown area.

I think it would be better to ride around empty all day.

I'm surprised I don't hear more often about inspections happening along the southern border states. We haul pov's across I-10 on a weekly basis and I used to hear (from other car carriers) about dealers having to occasionally total a car due to an illegal immigrant hiding/sleeping/eating/crapping in it while hitching a ride. I'd hate to be held responsible for letting something like that happen to someone's pov so I usually climb the trailer and look through the windows as part of my pre-trip. Don't know how true the stories are but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

Never heard of it with a POV, but I've seen some of the Mexican built Chryslers that I wouldn't haul without a full hazmat suit, for the reasons you mentioned. One of the few times I had any sympathy for the rail unloaders... I could refuse to haul it, but they had to unload it with little more than garbage bags over the seat (after it had baked in the hot rail car for who knows how long.)mp4694330 Thanks this.
