Good flatbed/hh/od outfit? Lonestar transport

Hey all,
I've been pulling reefer for 14 months now (14 mnths exp total)
For a company I won't mention.. bad pay, bad miles is all that needs to be said lol.
Lookin to pull flatbed, got calls back from melton and lonestar now, (and a buddy that just started his company wants me to work for him:/, would have to buy my own truck and wonder if he'll even make it in this induatry)
Leaning more towards lonestar, they seem to have more opportunity for heavy haul/ od,
Don't know what miles I'd be looking at on either side really, looking to get some input from anyone who's worked at lonestar or known anyone who has recently,
The only thing in enticing to me about Melton is their pet policy
