I'm leaving there this week.

Housing is insane. My house is going up for $600k for a quick sale. Realistically it is a $160k place. Just stupid! It would rent for $3k+ a month.

Some factoids of my area (San Gabriel valley). 80% of houses are sold to Chinese. Average price is $1.2m. 70% of sales are cash deals. 70% of population is Asian. Ever shopped in Asian dominated areas? They won't think twice about ramming you with their cart and have no concept of personal space.

Plus high living costs. Electricity is steep, starts $0.17kwh and tiers to $0.50. Water is nuts! Am paying $150 a month for water! Nat gas is cheap, only $30 a month. Prop tax? Try $7,000 a year.

Still want to go? The "cheap" areas have gang problems.

Nice weather but not worth it. Seriously.

just keep moving a night at the truck stop then the restarea then walmart. but a shower is 15 bucks you can find a cheap motel for 30.00 and watch tv all day. and take all the shower you want...or sell shower for 5 each...or rent the room out by the hour. so one sex rental and 2, shower rental and the room is paid for the rest is profit
