New cell phone law takes effect July 1 in Washington state

My trainer at Swift loved to text while he drove. I was almost asleep in the passengers seat, when I saw a wall coming at me rapidly.... I looked over and he was texting. I cursed, he looked up, and somehow we didn't turn over, or hit the concrete wall.
This happened allot. But this particiliar time happened in Washington State.

 

Same for California!

 

I really doubt it will be a problem.

New York has had the law for years. Saturday I was passed by a driver who was talking on the phone. Looked at him as he went by and he was tail gating and not really paying attention. Who should be called?????

Little more info, was one of the NY State Police officers.

 

I see cops on the cell phone all the time anymore...
