Not to be confused with knight transportation the McDonald's of trucking companies.

Knight transport out of auburn washington, originally from Puyallup washington. A fairly small outfit of around 70 drivers that runs flat beds and curtain vans.

I have not seen any reports or reviews on this company, but the pay seems good. Does anyone know about this place?

Yea it seems like a good gig. 38 cpm after the .02 fuel bonus and .03 saftey. After first 7 months it's 40cpm with same bonuses included. After first year a regional idaho, oregon, washington run opens up and it's a flat pay of 200 somthing per day. It all sounds great but there is usually more to know. Thwy got lots of adds up on craigslist.

Thats what he did the WA OR ID regional with occasional load down to salt lake. Like I said I never worked there but he seemed to not have any complaints.

The pay will rip you off. They pay "salary" that's not really salary. It's always in their favor. You get day pay, whether you work 8 hours or 14 hours, it's the same. But....if you work less than 8 hours it's hourly. Then when the hours add up, but the day's don't, it hurts you.
i.e. I worked over 40 hours in 4 days, but had the 5th day off. So I got paid for 4 days of day pay, even though I worked over 40. If I worked the same amount of hours in 5 days, I would've gotten another day's pay!
Also, If you work 50 hours in a week, you're giving them 10 free hours. Because you don't get any extra pay (not OT) until after 50 hours, and up till then is just your base day pay. So between 40-50 hours you're working for free, not really an incentive to work harder :/
