If you consider this RUDE you need to spend some time on a CB! :biggrin_25522: :biggrin_25524: :biggrin_2559:

    It was funny.......... :biggrin_25514:

May not have been a long winded, detailed, technically specific explanation, but it got the point across! :biggrin_25525:

You can't be thin-skinned and be a driver and that goes for female drivers too. There are some of those female drivers that will hand you your head (or other body parts..I'm keeping it clean here) back to you.

Care to show me where I brought this "fact" up? I asked. There's a big difference between stating a fact and asking for a fact. You misread me or I miswrote me. ;)

Fair enough but I never stated otherwise. I will now say however, (and it will take a bit of time to put the data together to show where I derive my opinion) but from what I'm reading and if I'm reading it right, we are nowhere near as strong as we were even 20 years ago in the manufacturing segment. We consume a lot more that we create.

Humorous, I'll buy that. But you provided no reference to whom you were addressing or what question or idea you were responding to. I still don't know where you got that. Eh.. maybe if I had said as a "fact" we are flatlining? Is that it what you were referencing? National manufacturing could be dead as a door nail yet it's concievable that you could still be steady hauling.

If it does and you do, you are.

When you write something......... even if it is phrased as a sarcastic rhetorical question .......... people on a forum just might take it as your opinion ...... and even as a fact you believe (and that is not limited to this site) :yes2557:

Isn't it amazing that we all knew anyway? .......... :biggrin_255:
    Yeah........Uh huh........... Right.......
    Now............ THAT is funny!!! :biggrin_2559: :biggrin_25522: :biggrin_2559:

Naaah you didn't and still don't at least not to the extent you think. Again, I was asking for opinions and still am. What's yours?

My opinion is that people need to look at a much, much bigger picture than they usually do around here....... :biggrin_25524:
And then....... once they have accepted the "facts" ....... they need to use that information to make decisions.......... :yes2557:

Next, they need to take those decisions and use them to make plans.........
and then they need to actually implement (and modify as necessary) those plans...... :biggrin_25525:

That is pretty much how I look at a very wide variety of issues and topics.... :biggrin_25514:

If you want specifics on what I think about "US Macroeconomics" or the concept of a "Global Market" then we probably need to jump over to a political thread to keep from getting bashed by certain drivers (speaking of which, where is chief? he hasn't given me a hard time in days!....lol....)

    How about this brief one........
It "returns" the same way as it did from your neighbor.......... you are just thinking micro...... you need to think macro/global. :biggrin_25520:

Here is where you may be having the communication problem.......... when you say "I'm certain" then I am inclined to take it that you see this as a "fact"....... at least in your corner of the universe........ :biggrin_25524:

But, in my special little corner of the universe what you said IS NOT a fact. :biggrin_25522:

Sooooooo....... what do you think of New York Zombie's plans????

Nice polite response. Parts are vague but at least it's something that resembles rational dialog. (Not that I'm above typing something more incoherent- cuz I am) Sincerely, thank you a bunch for that. (Surprised?)

I have a lot of things on my plate for the next hour or so but I'll try to find an active relevant topic in the political thread later this evening. Hope to understand your thinking better. Not that I agree. I'd like to understand though.

New York Zombie? I don't have a clue what you're talking about. Off the top of my head? I'm a southern boy so it's a safe bet that if it's from New York it's probably associated with Kennedy or Rudy and thus EVIL.

    I gotta run.

Nope ........ I've read other posts from you :biggrin_25514:

I know I am a little sarcastic at times ...... but I don't really mean any harm..... most people figure that out fairly quickly..... :biggrin_25525:

This thread was started by Zombie Woof, a copier repairman from New York.

He wanted to discuss his decision to become a truck driver.

[IMG] Foul! Foul! Cheater! Cheater! A punch below the belt? Oof! Give me a break! You asked:

I googled "New York Zombie", looked on youtube and drew a blank. Now that was hilarious! Clearly a set-up and a good one but unless you're keeping score, you don't have to go out of your way. Honestly it's just a waste of a good barb and I'm positive I'll provide plenty of opportunity from my own fair share of foibles. Pounce when ready and enjoy!

I think "New York Zombie" (roll eyes) is right about the first year being tough and it may be well worth his sufferage, if he can hack it and he probably can. Most Geeks are solitary critters and this should be a good fit. Further, I think the idea of downsizing is an excellent one. He does have a confident attitude, and it sounds like he feels that he has to. "Has to" is arguably the best of motivators.

Best of luck to you (non evil) New York Zombie.
