Truckers yearly earnings

Right now Swift's O/O pay is in the $1.10 range.. you mean to tell me he was getting .50 a mile or so bonus for training?!?! Man that really sounds out there.
If it's true then I'm working at the wrong place.

My brother hauls oil in ND 2hen they were booming and he worked tons of overtime at 33.60 an hour plus overtime he had checks that were 8 k for 2 weeks

 

You would get .01 for every mile the student drives and if the student stays for a year i think you get 250. Plus he was on the old contract that was about 1.45 per mile with surcharge. You get incentives to turn out students. It's pretty lucrative. Company mentors make over 90k.... a year it's not that bad but you have to deal with some trainees that aren't that bright.

 

One week we ran 6000 miles and he took home almost 7k. Why would i boast someone else's earnings.??? Come on bro. Swift isn't that bad...as a mentor off course.

 

how consistant is it..will you see that once a month, 2 months, 6 months a year ? whats the norm.. and whats the for a solo? does the company regulate your pay ?

 

We were averaging 5000 a week going coast to coast. That was in the dec to January months. When you show you can do team freight at swift you will be rewarded. You just have to prove yourself i knew a guy that made over 300k gross in 10 months at swift. And you have to know the system a bit. But it stays pretty consistent.

 

so that's December and January.. 2 months of 5000 miles per week as a team.. and ?

 

So how long have you been a recruiter for swift?

 

Well,i am sure you could MacGuyver a tube and a 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot....
