I work for Pride Transport, dedicated fleet and love it. They treat me well, I get miles and my 34 hour reset happens every week at home, I am home every other day.

I applied for Schneider a long time ago, I did not take the position because I was offered the job where I am now. I am from Utah, so James Clark or Pride made sense to me. I turned down Clark because Pride offered the dedicated fleet that Clark could not. But Clark was a close second for me.

Good luck in what ever decision you make.

I assume you arrived at this conclusion as soon as you backed into the lot of your first store?:)

I actually think I realized it when I got off the bus in Phoenix and had to wait for an hour and a half for the shuttle to get there to take me to orientation....

So you have 8 years experience and 5 years experience? What?

I drove net ops for Werner and have nothing to complain about. Yes, the pay is bad, but 28cpm? I was getting 33cpm. Go look for another job, get an offer, and tell dispatch that you're leaving in x weeks because of money/miles. They will offer you a raise if you're a halfway decent driver.

Next, almost no company pays hub miles. You know exactly what you're getting paid when that load is dispatched to you.

Night time dispatchers everywhere are bad, but the fleet manager I had was a great guy to drive for. Always willing to get me extra loads or get me extra time off if I needed it.

I don't understand why you're driving netops for Werner if you've got 8 (or 5) years of experience. I stayed there for 18 months, used them to get several thousand back on CDL tuition reimbursement, free hazmat, and experience. Now I can get jobs with most companies and I can put my co driver and dispatcher down as work references.

Good ol Werner, hasn't changed much since my days of cutting my teeth as a rookie with them years ago. At least I was a kid with almost no bills, because I would have never made it to my one year ticket out .
