Case in point about tail finds. When you do your post trip walk around, you should close them then. No excuses. Kinda hard not to remember.
-
How many LTD drivers are there?
-
OMG - that's been my point! Open pretrip close post trip! Simple and yet the less gifted drivers get it..,ncmickey Thanks this.

Just don't forget to close them when lining up to the dock, several of the companies we drop off at have seen drivers (not just Magnum) banging them against the dock and in one case destroying the curtain around the door.
When in doubt about routing ask dispatch, we don't have driver managers here and I would like to keep it that way. Communication with the home office is important to your success, hey by all means ask questions here, but asking dispatch, Paul or even Chad won't loose you points. I know other companies actively seek to hurt the driver, keep in mind this is not a place where that takes place.
My two cents.

Actually, we've totally blown out doors w/ tails open. The doors give, not the tails!ncmickey Thanks this.

And you don't hit your head on those dark cold mornings doing a pretrip if you close them on the post trip!!
I grew up in Jersey... So I 'get' it... And know the roads well...
Atlanta sucks... Lol...I would rather drive through Chicago everyday of the week than Atlanta once a month... But I guess we all have our favs and worst...
What do y'all hate about Jersey so much? -
I don't really like going anywhere in the north east and I know Atlanta kinda suxs also. That why l like midwest and southwest

I don't know, I'll go anywhere they pay me LOL..

I've made the executive decision to run 130. I have no chance of making my deliver on time if I dont. Lanes being closed due to high water, flatbed rolled over with freight all over highway causing them to close it and the excessive time it took to load gave me 46 hours to go 1350 miles. I do understand rates on contract as in a previous life I dispatched 50 drivers. The revenue lost for at least 1 day layover while they reschedule the appts would be much more than the $15 in tolls.
