Once you get in there and get settled in you can make bank, but you will earn every penny. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Food Service Side is Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC (Basically anything that was the old disbanded Pepsi Food Service from the 1990s when Pepsi in the late 90s got out of the restaurant business.) Actually as far as food service jobs go because it's not broad line it's alright, I work broad line so I have to deal with steps and basements and all kinds of crazy different products. You'll be with the same chains most of the time and the stores are all kind of set up the same maybe some difference here or there, but you'll get a feel for Taco Bells Taco Meat and Pizza Hut's Pizza Dough.

I know Pizza Hut the free standing ones are okay, but a lot of Pizza Huts here in Ohio are just store front take out/ delivery shops and McLane drives some real big trucks the one Pizza Hut on Broadview Road in Parma, Ohio there lots not big at all and if it was me I'd be throwing on the 4 ways and running that stop in from the street.

the 4 on 3 off is good for rest this job will be tough when you pull something take the 3 off and rest or it might never get better I ran with a bruised heel for months before finally taking my vacation when it healed it was incredible the end of the day sucked a lot less

Or Long John's, Applebee's, BWW, Panda Express, Checkers, Arby's. I know there's more, depending on the dc.

I've heard there's more coming. Soon. Hence the $6k sign on bonus. And it's hard to find drivers that want to work.

"I got my CDL so I'd never have to do any work ever again!"

That's the joke I tell myself when I'm wrestling freight around.

When I went to get my license they said "Where do you want to work?" I said "Oh I've done extensive research on this and probably GFS or Sysco maybe MBM-McLane." The guy looked at me like I was nuts.

One of the guys in my class said "Ehh I don't know GFS, Sysco that all seems to much like work." The instructor in our class was a flatbed hauler and he said "Ehh all you lazy's don't want to do any work just pull a freight box around all day."

    Sonic Burger too.

I had a job offer at MCLane but I ended up taking a LTL linehaul job because it more money "sooner". Nonetheless I was still very impressed by McLane's operation and their personell.

In the long run, that was a wise decision. Make better money and you won't destroy your body. Food service work is no joke and it's not for everyone... I did it for a while and it wasn't for me.
