Im sure U can bring on...I believe there's no age requirement depends on the condition......but im not sure of that ask your recruiter....and honestly that would be better much lower payment and insurance wich means U can take lower paying freight than most .....also then quality or eagle maybe wouldn't control your maintenance fund but ask the recruiter

I mean its kind of telling when u look online truck paper and see alot of 2013 prostars MF going for $20-27k and they have only 225k-300k miles and then you see 2013 prostars with a cummins with 750-900k miles going for $30-40k lol....that says alot!!

Good luck to all the eagle guys. But there's no way I can get on board with that mess. I'll be turning their offer down. It's a fubar situation there. I can't do it. Financial suicide is not my choice

International has created a program called Diamond Renewed to try and support the MaxxForce in the used market. They update and clean the emissions systems and de rate the higher hp engines and back them with a warranty. Don't know how that is working out, nor am I planning to buy one anytime soon but I think it bares watching.

This is very interesting information, I was told last year that the maxxforce motor is a really good engine if you can remove the emissions stuff and let the motor run freely! because the parts are outsourced from CAT. And CAT is a reputable manufacturer BUT they did not get their emissions add ons right hence the failure of cat c15.
You have to understand it's not the engine failing! It's the ECU and the emissions equipment that are failing! On all these emissions trucks!
They are still in early stages of these technologies. So far the DD15 is the leading one in the success of this. Unless you get the latest cummins which seems like they have finally got it.

The people that remove these stuff are there but you have to understand it's an underground business, some fake some legit. So it's hard to find them, it's a word to mouth thing, one trucker told me there is an ex freightliner dealership supervisor in atlanta that's disabling these systems, had his done. I live near atlanta.

I currently am lease/driving a 2013 cascadia dd15 and have driven these since 2012, I have had no problems whatsoever related to emissions.

So I say if you are connected mechanically very inclined then buy an mf motor because you are going to fix the bugs, these trucks have 300k and selling for 25k, You can't beat that.
Not to mention the inside is better designed for the driver I say well better than the cascadia.

Also consider cummins equipped prostars 09-11 they are going for cheap and your man RAWZE has the fix for cummins, brilliant guy as truckers we could award him for his fix on the pre Def cummins. He will teach you how to fix you cummins. Look him up rawze.com

And if you buy all Navistar they throw in the non idle cooling and heating equip. I have sensed better suspension in a mf prostar compared to a cummins prostar.

I prefer freightliner, my truck is equipped with the smart park system, I do not idle AT ALL.
The cooling system works of the battery! Works good if you don't overload the battery. Just idle it 30 mins before sleep and it will be fine.

The heating system actually burns diesel to produce heat so it does not sorely rely on batteries and even if your batteries are low in shutdown mode you find it still running.
In my opinion very better than tripack, used one in a company truck once and it's got tones of issues.

I say do MAJOR MAJOR homework before you venture out!
