Sounds like someone priming up the anti marijuana propaganda right before ohio votes to legalize it.
Story sounds a little fishy, especially OP's supposed reasoning for posting it.

After reading your posts , I had no doubt that we would. Its not really a difficult thing to do. All it takes is an ability to recognize someone's else's right to an opinion , and the need to accomadate that. Those who refuse to try and do either of those things only wind-up arguing in a circle. That ruins an otherwise great discussion on any topic.Canned Spam Thanks this.

Not really. I tried college when I was 18, did not like the experiance. I had my first child when I was 20 so I haven't really seen going back to school as an option. I would rather make money then spend it on tuition at this point, and like I said, I honestly like driving. I can't see myself in an office or working a desk job, I have to be out and movingCanned Spam Thanks this.

I haven't smoke in over 28 years because I have to drug test. this talking about pot only. Unlike alcohol you don't get violent about the worse thing that happens is you get the munchies and go to sleep. As with most things it's time and place.
Canned Spam and chris886 Thank this. -
All foreign nuerogenic substances create an altered state of reality in anyone who consumes them. The vast majority of consumers are unaware of the degree to which they are affected.
Reality is recommended when operating mass with momentum.
Then again, hyperventilating has similar affects.TripleSix, Pumpkin Oval Head and The Patriot Thank this. -
Not going to happen...
I will admit I did in high school and quit when I enlisted and grew up but some never do.... -
Some facts, when Colorado was debating legalizing pot, the allegation from the pro-pot crowd, "It'll reduce DUI's, because pot users know better, they don't get stoned and get behind the wheel..."
April 2015, Colorado State Patrol released the numbers for 2014 DUI's. 14% of all DUI's were directly for the use of marijuana, when factoring marijuana as an ancillary contributor, the total became 20% of all DUI's, 744 if my memory is correct. Hmm, this would seem to contradict the claims from the pot industry. But no, they still make this allegation. My wife's Uncle is a former Atty. for the Colorado Dept. of Revenue, drivers license revocation and reinstatement division. He spent 30 yrs doing it, after he retired, and took a year of, he's now in private practice as a DUI atty. AS of Sept. 18th, 18 of his active cases were for marijuana DUI's, 16 for alcohol DUI's. One of his cases involves a fatal accident, in which the driver was stoned. Prior to Sept. 18th, he had resolved 10 marijuana DUI cases, all with a reduced conviction, ALL involving mandatory random UA's for 3 yrs.
Two of his cases, one active, one resolved, involved CDL holders under the influence of pot, one while driving a CMV the other driving a passenger vehicle. The case involving the CMV was the one that was resolved, IIRC, the state revoked his CDL for 5 yrs, revoked his regular license for 1 yr with no "red license" issued. Mandatory UA's for 3 yrs.
Somewhere else in this thread someone commented that pot smokers aren't going around killing people behind the wheel. Dec. 2010, a trucker under the influence of drugs (they have never fully listed all the drugs in his system) and alcohol drove the wrong way on I-70, hitting a car head-on killing two and injuring one. The couple killed, were the Aunt and Uncle of someone I went to HS with, the injured person was his 9 yr old niece. What do you suppose that little girl's opinion, or understanding of truckers is? Do you think she looks at us as upstanding, good people, or do you think she looks at us as drug crazed maniacs?
Since Colorado legalized pot, traffic offenses involving marijuana in Nebraska has exploded, one of my farmer customers is a reserve sheriff's deputy in Nebraska, the county he works averages 5 pot related DUI's per month, prior to it being legalized, they had one or two per year. Go talk to the cops in Wyoming, even with Wyo. now legalizing pot for medicinal, they have had a real problem with pot related traffic incidents. It's not just traffic related, the rails have had issues as well, the BNSF in Neb. has suspended at least 5 train crews and fired at least two crews for testing positive for pot, one of those was post accident that killed an employee at a repair facility.
I'm sorry, what was it someone was saying about not worrying about it?Pumpkin Oval Head, OldHasBeen and The Patriot Thank this. -
