What if "the government" or "the law" outlaw tobacco next ? Are you gonna drop a dime on somebody for smoking or dipping just because it's against the law ?

I'm sorry but I don't believe in doing stuff like that. Now you've got several people out of a job an some in jail. I don't smoke weed but I've got no problem with people that do. I'm sure most of these people have families to feed an bills to pay. I'm not saying it's right or wrong. I just don't believe the law should've been involved. It could've been handled a whole lot better.

I see where you're coming from but what if the guy was driving drunk?

I have no problem with people smoking pot but I don't want them behind the wheel when they're high.

It's been years since I smoked the stuff but I do know the effects.

I just don't see this as someone simply breaking a law, I see it as dangerous and though it may be easier to ignore it I don't think I could.

Yeah, some of the guys who lost jobs and went to jail probably have kids who won't have a good Christmas now.

Hope that makes the snitch feel good about himself.

Also the snitch will be a marked man now. He'd be wise to watch his back.

I remember when I was hauling gas I once witnessed a driver who pulled his personal vehicle up to the fuel tank,he had a line hooked up,and was stealing gas. He gasped when he saw me , but I just turned around and walked away. He later approached me and asked if I was going to turn him in. I just replied that I didn't see anything. He appreciated that.

I don't approve of what he did. Nobody likes a thief. But I knew he had 5 kids. I didn't want to take food off their plate.

But he wasn't driving drunk. And unless I missed something no one saw him smoking anything. So everyone is just "assuming" he was driving high. I just think I would've handled it different. Especially if they all know each other.

Any debate with regard to the long term effects of any substance is irrelevant to the topic at hand, as are any personal habits or dogma regarding said substances. Impaired is impaired. Doesn't matter if it was alcohol or marijuana; the issue is operating while impaired. If it was in the vehicle, the reasonable conclusion is that it was consumed while in the vehicle.

This isn't about liberties, freedom or the loss thereof; your rights end when your behavior poses a threat to others.

You burnouts...you are wasting your time trying to compare weed to booze. "Oh, one day they will legalize narcotics!"

Dimwits, that's not your problem. Booze is legal to purchase but not legal to operate a motor vehicle under the influence. TThey test for it, right? What you giys need instead of waiting around for legalization, is to develop a fast burn narcotic...something that won't show up in a test days later. Your argument about booze is moot.

Til then, I sit back and laugh. "Poor little burnouts, waiting for a day that will never come."
