Maybe consider looking into Pell Grants or student loans? Am attending Baker College's truck driving school and financed it with loans...Everyone qualifies for student loans. It's a 6 month course however it's very thorough. Good Luck!

I got CDL myself for $800, just rented a truck and did the test. My brother in law spent I think 4-5k on the school. We both did not know crap when we got our licenses and had to be trained on the job anyways. The question is, why pay more?

I was under the impression you cannot get a CDL unless you are 21 years old. Am I wrong? Or is Michigan one of those states that only allow you to drive a commercial vehicle within the state if you are under 21?

18 yrs. is the minimum and limited to intrastate until 21 yrs. old.
