FMCSA doesn't play with certain offenses.Thank you for posting the article.That was back in 1996 can you imagine what the fine is now.walstib Thanks this.

In the link I posted earlier the guy had only been fined $3,680 that ten grand fine is a maximum. Most times you don't get hit with maximums unless there are real egregious circumstances. Since that news piece in the link is rather current I doubt the fines are much higher today.

That was for not having a drug testing program,what about the drivers who already got hired started driving without getting tested?I'm thinken the fine could even be higher.

I think its the same thing, just worded different. What I see when I read that paragraph is up to a ten grand fine for violating any part of that code section. While its not specifically stated I would image this is for not having a program in place after the date or allowing a driver to drive in violation. The driver mention in that section seems to me to mean a person driving under their own authority. That is my impression based on what I see. To know further I think you will need to contact your closest office of the FMCSA and ask them.

I did today matter of fact and he didn't know the exact fine.This DOT is so laid back and nice hard to believe hes the head honcho,lol.
