they've been doing good about planning me midtrip for the next one but I haven't been getting them stacked.

had a best ever week this week. 3713 and got in late Saturday with 40 minutes left on the 70. had 3452 week before. they've been running me pretty hard.

showed up at the guard shack yesterday and the guard had this deer in the headlights look lol he didn't know what to do with the trailer. he says 'you weren't supposed to be here till tomorrow' lol and?

APU died out in dallas Thursday night. killed my idle time that night but it was nice and cool in Ar the next night so it wasn't too bad. the guy in post trip wasn't thrilled with my APU problem when I got in. it was the 3rd one they had that day. seems they've had some issues out of the last batch of them that got put on the KW's in my series of trucks. They're thinking maybe TK didn't do such a hot rebuild job on them.

got a shorty out to Knoxville for Monday drop by 2200. after the last 2 weeks I won't mind a late and slow start to the week.

O I hear ya, they have been above normal on the dispatching, which was the way when I started 3 yrs ago, then it went away after about 10 mths, that's a dam good week--have had a flood of 3300's, and a about 3 3600-3500 weeks back to back, they have me back to normal again starting this week, so its a short week 4 days 2400--starting back out on Monday routine. We have had a rash of problems at the Brandon yard getting maintance done on the PTP trks, they just do not have the time--so had a super service 4 hrs 2 guys on the trk last week, b service, turbo service and a injector service, and a winter service, had a chat with Jody, just explain to him the lack of service and just basically said from now on I will just have the service's done in the field.

Ya on the apu issue, heres what has been done in 9 mths that I had a new trk, a butt load of electrical problems, connections being lose-etc, a/c compressor replacement, a/c bracket broken, alternator replacement, fuel pump replacement, radiator replacement, missing alternator mounting bolt, freeze plug replacement and 2 belts.

On the idle time thing, I just asked James do not worry about my trk being turned up, because I will not be able to meet there numbers, because I hual to many heavy loads, so just lv it alone, he chuckled.

From what I heard they are back to square one on that thing---at least on the Volvos, nice to see they tested that idea in Acadia before putting out the fleet wide message on it---LOL

Yep James told me they got 10 turned up and Arcadia called and told them to stop. Volvos were gumming up the works with problems.

I could have gotten mine turned up that Friday before they got put on hold. he wanted to do it but I wanted to get that last local in before I went home. Should have gotten it done instead lol

    mom I'm home.........lol

figured one of us better kick this thread in the ### and get it started again since we've been spending a lot of time in the other one.

    last 3 weeks are 3457, 3713, 3171.

just not worth it to run more than 3100 in a week. taxes just get too much of it. I only brought home 100 more running 3700 as I did 3100. taxes got almost 400 of the longest week.

had my first paycheck issue I'm gonna have to follow up on Monday. none of my reimbursements were on there this week and it was a few. couple of scale tickets, one for parking and one for a gallon of coolant.

rough week this week. got sent up to leesport and then sat there in the parking lot waiting on loads more than I ran. ended up being out until today. really thought the week was a total loss sitting there Friday with only 1705 for the week but between Friday and today they pulled one out of the hat and I ended up good. now it puts me on a really screwed up schedule till I get it back right.

put an empty into pepsi in Piscataway, nj this week. new run, one load a day to Harrisburg, most likely going to be a Holland backhaul. not so nice folks over there be advised. got the distinct feeling the good union drivers there do not want us in there.

pics attached of the location. do NOT follow the GPS or peoplenet to the front side address on New Brunswick. The truck gate is on lakeview which runs behind the plant.

off of 287, exit 6 Washington ave. at the light at Sheldon, you can go either left or right doesn't matter. either will take you around the block to the entrance.

here's the lay of the land

    pepsi piscataway.jpg

smaller than most of the pepsi joints. the yellow circle is the truck entrance. do NOT try to go into the truck entrance on new brunswick where the red X is. you'll find a locked gate and no room to turn around. this is where the gps/peoplenet will try to take you.

this is the right gate on lakeview:

    picataway entrance.jpg

this is what it looks like on approach if you take the left onto Sheldon coming in. it's hidden in the trees on the right. soon as you see the plant through the trees be ready it's right there. coming in from the other direction it'll be easier to see but still somewhat hidden. if you miss it you can go around the block easily and get back to it.

    piscataway approach.jpg

once you check in at the little guard house, drop on the fence to the right, then go in between door 5 and 6 to check in. there's a block office on the left, go down the left side and around the corner to the door in the front. don't go in the first door like I did. that's the driver area/locker room. to say I wasn't given a warm welcome would be an understatement lol

this one will be a pita from the word go. they'll be heavy, and there isn't anywhere nearby to scale. the first thing you see leaving here coming back out to 287 is the scalehouse. this one will require some alternative routing to get out and miss the scalehouse so that you can get back out to weigh up somewhere.

Just spoke to payroll since I didn't have any reimbursements this check from the previous period paid last week. this isn't and hasn't been an issue they're spot on about paying any reimbursement a receipt is provided for.

she said that due to the way the dates for the final holidays for the year are falling, this will most likely happen with each holiday pay period beginning last pay period through the end of the year.

for those of us not stationed at the home office they are only paying off what is in the system at close/only those trip envelopes they have physically onsite so it's likely that no reimbursements will show up until the following pay period. they aren't paying any reimbursements that they don't have the receipts physically in hand for, so due to the shortened period those of us at the outlying stations will only see those reimbursements the following period.

if you're missing any from last week be advised and just check your stubs the following week to confirm and be watching for it thanksgiving and xmas periods

    Afternoon All,
I live too far away from a DC, any drop yard close by the Greenville, SC area by chance? Great thread with a lot of informative details.
