I work for Schneider Intermodal out of Atlanta, GA. They sent me to train in Chi town though, had to drive in the snow. Was pretty interesting though and trust me, they will keep you busy. Here in Atlanta, I run regional. We cover a 300 mile radius of Atlanta. Sometimes I am home every day, sometimes I sleep in my truck all week, it depends. I work Monday to Friday off weekends. Its a great job, good money, they will give you a some shirts, skull cap and a nice jacket for the winter along with steel toe boots and ice cleats (ha ha we don't need the cleats here in the South) but like the other contributors said, its a trucking job with trucking issues. As a newbie you will have interesting experiences, especially driving out of Chicago.
