There's a couple of threads on it. try searching for DacFix or ..

if this URL survives the ministrations of the admin staff, it talks about DAC and how to do something about the contents:

    http://www.speedingticketcentral.com/DAC.html

(no, not an ad - an article. I attach the usual "I don't know these guys from Adam Savage" disclaimer)

Yeah, recruiters lie as they have a need to get people in the seat. Then drivers lie to get into that seat. They fail to mention things that could hurt their chances. Then they go to orientation, the company does their last checks, finds the problem, sends the driver home, then the driver comes here and complains about the company and how unfair they are.

But it is not limited to the trucking industry or politics. It is everywhere. I worked at IdleAire for awhile. Right on the application it stated that the applicant would have to pass a drug test. In one week 20 applicants lied when they submitted their application because they knew of the drug test AND they had to answer a question about drug use and all 20 got popped on the drug test.

I know I am philosophizing here but for years people have pushed for relative truth rather than absolute truth. So what is a lie by today's standards? There really is no such thing as a lie when you live in a world of relative truth. That is why we have candidates telling this group one thing and then telling another group exactly the opposite. Like Obama asking for a show of hands at one meeting for the number of people there who made over $250K knowing there would be none. Then later that week at a $25K+ per plate fund raiser he brought up the same points as earlier but did not ask for a show of hands as to how many made less than $250K. I am not speaking against Obama here, only using him as an example that there really is no truth in the majority of American life or even in most of the world any more.

Yes, they lie. Which is wrong. But they get away with it because, truckers have no backbone. This post sums it up. The posters are unable to agree with the author, who told of his situation, which I believe is telling the truth. What will he gain by not being truthful on this site? Trucking companies will continue to be dishonest, cause they know they will get away with it. The industry is filled with ignorant, unable to read, selfish, its all about me,me,me types. Not all just most. Its not their fault it is just way Americans are today.
