4g LTE is much fast then 4g. Your phone will want to do 4g LTE the fastest. If it can't it will fall back to 4g

Has anyone checked out the Karma mobile hotspots? $50/mo for unlimited data, or they offer a pay-as-you-go plan. It piggybacks on LTE/Spark so you should be able to get 4G or 4G LTE wherever it's available. I have a $10-off promo code if anyone wants it.

And yet my son who thought getting an affordable phone plan through Sprint in Washington state would be a good idea. This was just 3 months ago. I told him not to do it. But said he wanted to save money. He has no phone signal at his house. Sprint had to give him a wifi net adapter that allows him to piggy back his cell phone service through his internet. Told him he could have just got Vonage if thats what he wanted to do at home.
I have yet to see Sprint service and coverage come even close to what Verizon has and is continuing to build.
Cheaper and more affordable service,.. you got me there. Better than Verizon,..?? We can go head to head again,.. my challenge is still up for grabs. Except I'd like to make a wager to make it interesting. I have $100 says I can go more places and have better voice and data service than you can with Sprint. Are you up for it?

My son and my sister can't use their verizon phones in my house. The rest of my family can. Yet, most of them CAN'T, inside their own homes. Everyone of them have verizon and att. It's not just the carrier, not all phones have equally created antannaes. Even apple hasn't been able to provide good antannaes, till their 6 model came out, which is supposed to have the best anatannae.
As for vonage, I pay $25 per year with magicjack. Works just as good. And even has an app to use the service on my cell.
Verizon building, their dead spots are growing. I can't use half of utah, nevada, and most of california anymore.
As for your challenge, my understanding is the new cells that have been added, are spark capable only. Don't know how true that is, but i don't have a spark capable phone to provide a true test. I also don't travel the country anymore. Most of our flatbed runs are california and back. And, i already have verizon service. I can provide my own comparison between the 2 carriers as i have the same model phone for both. Although, outdated as they are.
Where verizon don't work, Sprint has been. If neither work, i'm probably in a spot where i'm not staying long anyways. While some of you are paying boo goo bucks for large amounts of data. With one carrier only. I'm paying less, with more coverage by having 2 carriers. And although the truly unlimited plan seems to have changed. My monthly sprint bill is saying $30 for unlimited data. While my verizon bill seems to have added a $30 usage and purchases fee to what was supposed to be $120 which is now $128 plus $30.
My verizon bill went UP 25% while my sprint bill DROPPED 50%.
If i were to switch my verizon plan to the same amount of data. Looking at the rates. I'd be looking at over $400 just for verizon alone. Instead, i'm spending $185 for the same amount of data between 2 carriers, and getting MORE coverage.
Isn't the name of this game supposed to be "SAVING MONEY"?????
Some of you have a cell phone AND hotspot. through one carrier. I have 2 phones, 2 carriers, and BOTH are hotspots. Neither one of them costing me a certain amount of money for a small amount of data only. Both can be used for phone calls, mp3 player, internet, camera, dash camcorder, etc. one of them is used as my gps tablet. the other one can also, but it won't charge and gets hot. it has a problem of multitasking, charging, and staying cool.Last edited: Nov 8, 2015
