Any shops in the Massachusetts area?
-
And the 222 shop in reading pa, anyone know about Bob? Took a ride down just to get out of hotel in Allentown today and he seemed like a nice guy. I want my 29 ltd classic aligned and cleaned up. Not all that super hero crap.

I would add my experience here. I've mailed two CBs to highly recommended here DTB Radio in PA. When radios came back, some work has not been done, even though invoiced, price was higher, than I expected and after some questions it turned out those recommendations were from someone, who never dealt with the shop...
I would repeat what I said somewhere here and it is from my real experience-if you have a regular radio set up do not bother with shops, just buy new unit, if it is broken. Even recommended places pretty often not worth your time and money. -
I just bought a radio from him. Send nice, but was reluctant to say exactly what his peak and tune entails. I did not see a scope, and my meter light is already dead. He is closed today, so I'll probably never see him again. At least not before I drive past a real shop, have them open this up, and fix whatever magic he performed and my meter.
The radio was not cheap either. Save your money for a real shop, I wish I did. -
Wow that stinks.
He didn't have any radios for sale yesterday when I went in. And he has a nice collection. -
Years ago there was a guy in Jeffersonville OH. The shop name was "Roadrunners" . That guy could really make em talk. If anyone knows where he is at now, I'd love to have him work on some junk I have.

I guess as a new trucker, that's part of my initiation, being had by cb hacks. Everyone says I'm loud and clear. Looking inside the box, didn't look like he clipped or soldered anything. I hope all he did was nothing. That way all a real shop has to do is fix my meter light and actually make sure it's tuned and aligned properly.

Is ol' Tiny Tim still working there? He did a really good job on an old Cobra 29 I was running years ago.

Mr. CB was a top-notch technician. Unfortunately, he passed away a number of years ago.
Robert, at Clay's Radio Shop in San Antonio, is pretty good.
I've also had good work done at Mesa CB in Wildwood, and at the shop upstairs at the Bosselman's in Denver.
