Which of these companies would be good to lease to. Because I'm looking to move from where I am to at least be able to make a better situation for me and my family. So can I get some advice because I've never heard about van drivers running for Mercer.
question about Mercer and Landstar

Landstar is a good ''stepping stone'' and a great ''beginners'' outfit. As you get to know the business more and do alot of research, you will find that Landstar has ''UNECESSARY'' charges that you DO NOT NEED as an Independent.
But L/S will give you the BEST EDUCATION as far as being a Businessman..I do not agree with L/S Money Grab of us BCO's and there out of control over the top rules. All in all it has been a Great Teacher for me to further my own Independancy.
After many years in trucking i would not hesitate to tell someone to go LEARN at Landstar. You will gain alot of knowledge and make good money doing so...
Although i am having a pissing war with Landstar as we speak,i still say Landstar is a great opportunity. If i was 23 and new what i no know,i would be at Landstar in a heart beat...
This weeks bring home for 1950 miles was 3,950.00...TO MY BUSINESS ACCOUNT...not to shabby for a guy with a criminal past,a wrap sheet and a 7th grade education... -

I love landstar. i came here and pulled their vans for a year and then went to mercer. good company at the beginning. now they are leasing truck and to many drivers for the amount of loads. so i came back to landstar.
