Hello all. As a new student I was wondering about emergency situations where service etc has to be made on the truck while you are on the road. I assume we are expected to keep a cell phone or are we given one by the company with limited minutes in case of needing a wrecker/service? I am looking at getting Verizon with an unlimited plan but if I can just use Skype at wi-fi hot spots along the route....more money in my pocket! All comments welcome.

    Thanks

Wifi at truck stops isn't free. Also the truck will tend to break down at the most inconvenient spot. You will need a cell phone.

you have a qualcomm sort of like a computer in the truck that goes directly to the company you work for and you send in a macro stating that you are brokedown and where at and they send road repair out to you.
