So, looks like I will probably be under this load all the way to Colorado... I really rather doubt they set up a swap at this point during the weekend.
So, looks like I maybe heading for some cold weather but no snow??? Hoping to avoid winter until I can at least run home to grab a winter coat and boots... {sigh}bigred81 Thanks this. -
Yep... Six hours from the drop in Colorado Springs ... So, when do they contact you about not being able to get you home for your scheduled home time??? Guess I will put in for three days next weekend and hope no one asks why I didn't give them their required 7 business days advance notice... LOL

JohnBoy, if you know and you can answer, what are trainees paid while on the 6 month training program. I retire from the Navy soon and I am getting my CDL and I like what I have been reading about Abilene. Thank you in advance.

The training program has changed since I had that trainee. The program is now broke down into 3 stages, 1,2 and 3. Each stage is anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Longer if the trainee needs it, shorter if the trainer says so. Stage one is $500 per week, stage 2 is $600 per week and stage 3 is $700 per week. It use to be mileage based at .16 per mile but was completely revamped about 3 months ago.xlsdraw and tractorman1970 Thank this.

Thanks JB, this definitely will give me and my other CO somethings to think about. I have been enjoying the various threads on Abilene, I grew up with a steel hauler father, so I have been around trucking some. Thanks to the Army and the Navy I'll have 20 years of service and a small pension each month. Thanks again for the information.
