I'm home, a little late but home anyway. I was suppose to be home last Thursday but got detoured out west, my choice so it's all good. I emptied in Jacksonville this morning, repowered another truck for a load down to West Palm Beach, delivered that this afternoon, and was home at 4pm. Leaving back out on Thursday, then home for Thanksgiving.

Went over to a small fleet of 7,300 white trucks back in Apr. JB's favorite retailer. At least when I go to Gordonsville I have zero wait time, was just there Sat. Remember the issues my wife was having? Well I got on with the Smyrna, DE DC 89 miles from the house. Not home daily but go by a few times during the week and am on a 5/2 , 5/3 program. Run 5 days off two, run 5 days off 3. Only average 2,000 miles a week but 50% more pay.RebelChick and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

A little of both. NYC delivery of sabra. Two dock indoor from a two lane side road with people jumping up on the sidewalk to zip behind you. Concrete poles in front of you so in the winter you have to be careful that you don't spin out getting straight and the drives catch and push you into one of them like someone I knew. At least they shaved the sidewalk down so it doesn't rip the petcocks on the reefer tank. Ask around, sure someone's done it.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

Well that sounds fun... Not!!!

Not fond of NYC... Was there only one time in my NE training stage of one whole week. We waited around five hours to be called to back to the dock and then the guy couldn't give this newbie more than a few minutes to attempt the back before the trainer took over... Then we waited another few hours to get our trailer back... Ya, not fond of that one. Hope I never get dispatched to that place again as a solo... lol
The pickle place was easy though... Easy access, easy back... And the smell reminded me of the summer days when my grandmother would can pickles... Mmmmmmm

I think you jinxed me... Last night the bunk heater kept it nice and warm in here... Tonight, not so much... LOL
Maybe the trucks are conspiring against us. -
Rich, good to hear from you, glad JB Hunt is working out for you.....lol. Really, I'm happy it's a good deal for you. I don't mind any of the DC's I go to, the people from the gate guard to the receiving window have always been nice. WalMart has a funny way of doing things, but it's a nationwide system that works. I was up at the Bedford Pa DC two weeks ago on a Friday night, not one issue, in and out in 2 hours. Be safe my friend, keep in touch.
