Volvo 780 or KW T680

500 for engine, 750 for ishift

 

This is my new truck coverage on transmission

 

I have driven both KW and Volvo. Yes the Volvo has a bigger cab, a lot more room between the seats and more cabinet space. I drive a W900l with a ISX 500 I believe the 9 rides better than the Volvo and the ISX 500 has way more power than the DD 13, not even a contest. Yes the Volvo turns some what sharper.

Here is a suggestion I'm surprised no one has mentioned. Now I'm not trying to be a smart ssa but you should learn how to drive one before you even think about buying one. If you buy a truck right out of CDL school and you can find some one that will insure you, which is very doubtful, between the insurance and the truck payment you will be out of business before you get started.

 

I think the tranny warranty is 750 with d 13 and 1650lbs or less of torque my d16 is 1850lbs of torque and tranny warranty was 3 years 500k.

 

I came out of 2013 389 and the Volvo out does it by a mile way quieter way better fuel economy more room and better use of the room it does have.
Most of the Volvos out there are governed so yes you can pull a hill better plus it's geared different that makes all the difference.
94% of the time I'm on flat land and could care less about pulling a hill as fast as possible.
I was getting 6.2 mpg isx w/18 3:58 now with the d13 and a I shift over 8mpg so yup I will stick with making money over the cool factor of a hood.
I can actually put my phone on speaker and have a conversation with it sitting on the dash try that in any other truck.
But each to their own

 

Cummins 757 so which one did you decide to go with? I to am about to pick between the two and would like your opinion on your choice and why. I'm looking at a 2016 780 with 421,000 miles for 88k or 2016 t680 with 345,000 miles for 83k both with apu any thoughts are appreciated.......d13 with ishift and mx13 with ultrashift 10

 

2017 and Newer Volvo 780 500 HP D13
