Having a couple issues with CoPilot and hoping someone here can enlighten me.
1.) on the "map" option (without a route entered) I can see my current "speed" which is a nice feature. But when I input a route I only see the "speed limit" for the road I am on and it only tells me my current "speed" once I pass the selected "miles over speed limit" warning. Then it beeps at me and flashes my speed in a red box.
Is there anyway to have both the speed limit as well as my current speed display simultaneously when either in the map or route display?
2.) and speaking of "speed limits", I am finding many of the speed limits listed are actually in correct. I am not talking about State Highways or in town, those are completely nonexistent, I am talking about major Interstates (40, 85, 95, 70, 80, etc).
I am currently in Kansas and the speed limit is 75 but CoPilot has it listed at 70. Now my truck is governed at 68 so it's not a big deal at the moment but it happens very often at lower speeds as well. It's only saving grace is that it tends to be too low most of the time so I am not speeding but also not going as fast as I could. And then half the time, maybe less, there is no speed listed for a stretch of Interstate at all.
Both of these issues, incorrect speed limits or no speed limits at all, make using this feature almost useless to rely on most of the time.
Am I missing something?
Stay Safe,
MD
PS yes, I can read the speed limit signs, that is not a problem for me, but if a $150 App has such features then I would like to use and count on such features as being accurate. If not accurate then this feature is useless. Thanks.

I am lucky enough that dispatch lets me know the night before where pick up & drop off is so I can check it with my trucker GPS, Google maps and a map program I have on my PC to find the best way to get where I need to be.
They are tools I use and I do carry a truck Atlas in the truck as a back up and so far they have worked for me.
My trucker GPS does give me posted speed (for trucks if different than cars) & my speed. It also lets me know when the speed limit is reduced so you can get slowed down in time.
I have found sometimes the posed speed by sign and shown on the GPS don't match so I always go by sign.
As for copilot app I cant help you as I don't use it.

You're not going to find an accurate gps due to the fact that every state in the nation has been raising their speed. It takes time to update the mapping system with the new speeds. About 2 years is my guess.
Utah just recently bumped to 70 in the city and 80 outside the city. Next spring, oregon will be bumping truck speed up to 65 and cars to 70.
It's also noted that displayed speeds are usually car speeds. Not truck speeds. Least with copliot, anyways.
In the lower left and right corners..you tap on the boxes and you get a menu to display features that you want. Tap which feature amd a check mark is tagged. Speed is one of those features.
150 dollars is not something to complain about when other brands are 250 plus. It also works pretty good compared to other brands. And if you want the features the more espensive brands off. There are apps. For free. -

Oh and CoPilot routed me right into a 13' 2" underpass today in St. Louis. That was fun backing up and doing a U turn crossing/blocking four lanes of traffic. Thankfully the police officer that showed up was rather cool about it. Even thanked me for not taking out their bridge.
Ya, thanks CoPilot. -
Check your parameters. It comes set for 12.6..
Copilot is the only gps I've used for 5 years. Never been steered down a wrong street unless I'm in cali. -
I am pretty sure I had it configured to 13'6" and 53' ... But I will double check... I really want to love this app but little things, if a bridge is little, keep popping up... Making me think I need to invest in a RM for the finer details. Oh well, I will keep working with it. Would love to know how to access the POIs to add to my course... I keep hopping back and forth between CoPilot and Truckers Path Pro for different things. And then toss in a regular Map App to get an actual arial view of the place before I arrive. Guess I am exprecting too much.

Oh, and this is the second time I had to turn around and back track... A few weeks ago I ended up on a road that had a bridge that was not sturdy enough for a big truck... Signs everywhere.... Had to back track and then it just kept trying to route me back to the same road... Had to turn it off completely.
