A Pakistani man named Mohammed Atif runs a company called Roadways Trucking. NOT ROADWAY TRANSPORTATION the nationally known big transport company. I should've known when I noticed all he did was add an "s" to the end of a big company's name that he was a shady character. He is in no way, shape, or form connected to ROADWAY. He offers $900.00 to run from California to New York or Pennsylvania and back. 6 days max he'll tell you. What he fails to tell you is that he is so unorganised that it will take you2 1/2 days just to get a load, at five different places in Fresno driving back and forth back and forth before you even get out of California. Then when you do get finally rolling and make it out onto the highway, you'll get pulled over for not having a license plate on the reefer trailer you are pulling. "Its coming in the mail," he'll tell you when you ask about it after your pre-trip. ########. Tennessee state police dont want to hear it. They gave me a pass though luckily. Then after dropping the load in Pennsylvania he doesnt have another load ready for you. You'll sit and wait, and wait, and wait, til he decides to get off of his fat ### and get a load. Oh yeah, youre not heading back to Cali youre now going to Richmond,VA. Well ok no problem. Lets get it done. But him being the unorganised ####### that he is failed to consider that our great country has multiple time zones. So when he decides to get out of bed at 9am California time its already 11 or 12 on the East Coast. "I have a load for you to pickup," he'll say. "You must be there before 4:00 pm because they will close. The pick up spot is 350 miles away....yeah I'll be there in 2 1/2 or 3 hours....Right. So then you'll sit overnight again. You and your team mate driver. Neither one making any money but spending your own money while waiting for him to get his #### together. Then the next morning you head out through Va, Tn, NC, SC, Ga, Al, Ms, La, on into Houston, Texas where you drop off the load after waiting another night cause he cant schedule for ####. He'll also want you to pay lumper fee's and buy oil for the truck engine out of your pocket and pay to scale the truck at the Cat scales. Next, you guessed it....you have to wait 2 days at a truck stop for him to get his #### together again and find a load to take westward toward California and home. By the way, you're not getting paid on the way back. So after spending what you budgeted for a six day trip has now turned into 9 or 10 days you ask him what the plan is. Are you getting compensated for this time when you are doing nothing and spending your own money while, you guessed it, you're waiting for him to get his #### together. "I'll send you com check for 100.00 dollars to help you out." Acting as if he's trying to take care of you. But.....it comes out of your pay when you get home. He will try to whittle your final settlement pay down as far as he can because he cant stand to give you what you've earned. After sitting in a Houston truckstop for almost 2 1/2 days I told him to get a load quick or the truck is going to get pointed toward the Pacific Ocean and will come home empty. After much ############ and jibberjabbing he says ok come home empty cuz he cant find a load. Once we get home to his "Company Yard" which he runs out of a truck repair facility not even his own yard, he doesnt want ot pay you because you stood up for yourself....he yells and screams and gets disrespectful and obnoxious in that foriegn way. Once you mention that you know about labor law and how to protect yourself and your little 900.00 pay check he will begrudgingly write you a check which of course you cant cash because the banks are closed. To make a long story short...well a bit shorter..hahaha.....Avoid this piece of #### Pakistani wannabe trucking company owner at all costs. He tries to take advantage of drivers that are new to the game, he cant keep any good drivers, and he's the kind of man that will jeopardize your freedom cause you will most definitely want to put your boot in his ###. Mohammed Atif and Roadways Trucking , with an "S', out of Riverside Ca. Him and his brother and a couple of other Paki's run this little, unorganised, un-professional, piece of #### company out of B+R Truck Repair yard on Mulberry Ave three driveways south of Slover Ave just south of the I-10 freeway in Fontana, CA. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS...they want you to carry the load of the expenses of keeping the truck and his company going while he makes all the profit. If Im gonna do that I might as well do it for my own company and my own pocket.

Biggest mistake you made was agreeing to a flat fee.

I passed a Roadways truck today. I was wondering if it was the same guy. I got to thinking. He says he's paid $900 from Cali to the east and back. I get over $1100 one way. Why would you work somewhere for $450 a week??? Wow.

I would have abandoned his pos truck at a service area in PA. Not even deliver the load. You wont have to worry about your dac/hireright because chances are he doesnt subscribe to it. All that money your spending waiting would have been used for a flight back to cali. Reasons why I will never drive for an owner operator. Indian/foreign at that. They are cheap to begin with.

I keep wondering why any driver would waste his/ her time even applying at jack wagon outfits like this
Maybe they don't have enough experience to see thru the BS or see the red flags
The end result is always the same for these uniformed drivers
I do realize our industry has become very shameful, I guess if we all were going to stand up and fight for what is right it would've happened by now

There was a guy in Oakland who was looking for a driver, I sent him a fake resume and he replied with his offer. Twenty five cents per mile/experienced otr. Big bucks. I told him ill take the job if he paid cash under the table with half up front.
