I grabbed a load paying $660 on 140 miles strap and go up here in the NE. I don't think it was spectacular but right now it's slims pickings. Although I missed out on a load paying a little over 9.00 per mile going from NJ to NYC $1500 same day and was only OD 2 inch over hang off each side.
And u thought TQL is cheap

I saw the loaded back part, thought you meant it was round trip at that rate. Obviously I airballed my reading comprehension skill check today.
-
No worries. I didn't make it clear.
-
I prefer to run for asset based brokers/trucking companies because atleast they have some idea what its like to run a truck.
-
You call that cheap? check out this post. posted today. 5/18/2016 and i am sure they require 8 ft tarping.
-
Brutal! Do they throw in tarp fees at least?
-
Good lord, how can anybody run that and look at themselves in the mirror? Thank goodness I'm a company driver that never sees rates.... I've prolly hauled stuff that cheap and didn't know it, but hey, I still got my paycheck.

I have two friends who are brokers and they will post those loads many times for that rate but only for a few hours early in the day. Many times a large carrier will take it for a back haul to get their truck back to their regular customer instead of sending them back empty.
TMC hauls those type of loads out of Maine all the time in the Spring. Loads of mulch from Maine to the East for $1.10
