It's the same amount of drilling to add another section of track. 2 holes on each side. however, by adding track you won't have to move it it back, and it allows you the option of sliding it all the way forward again if you need to in the future.

 

Ya for two feet better put three in. Forgot you wanted to add that much. What I meant by the same drilling is, if you slide the whole unit back, you will use some of the existing holes. You only drill new ones on the back part, same as if you add new track.

You will have cut off rear stops on 5th wheel slide plate on truck now and add stops on sec. you add on rear.

 

I forgot about those stops. Zinita, how much do you trust your welding skills?

 

It states on the decals they stick on the frame.
"Never drill or weld to frame unless certified"
