I just upgraded to a smart phone (Moto X) from an old flip phone. I use a Plantronics Voyager II Bluetooth in compliance with DOT regs of course.
The issue is the person on the other end complains about hearing their own voice in echo to the point of annoyance for them. Only happens with the Bluetooth on, doesn't happen when the Bluetooth is off and using the phone direct. Verizon wanted to sell me a new Bluetooth through them of course.
Anyone else have this problem? Thanks

Turn your wifi connection off. I have a plantronics voyager edge and also had same issue. I noticed that whenever my wifi was connected, people complained about hearing echoes, as soon as I turned it off, no more echoes.

Looks like there's no real resolution to my echo problem.
I went to the Plantronics site and posted my problem.
It took them about a day but they did respond. Their suggestions were, unhook/rehook Bluetooth, turn down volume, neither really worked. The lower volume worked a little but with the noise in the truck I'd have trouble hearing the other party. Their final statement was it might be a Moto X just isn't compatible with a Voyager HD Pro. Guess I'll just have to put up with it, kinda sad as I really liked HD Pro.
