Not watching all the time. But if his company is ever audited or he is ever involved in a serious accident there will be an in depth investigation and they will find out. OP will be screwed

Averitt even had us fill out paperwork of any prior job the week before to know where we stand with hours.

That's the whole thing about rules, they only matter if you get caught breaking some.

False. Any part time or second job must be logged as on duty. Doesn't matter if it's a driving job, surgery, or mowing lawns. By the rule, it needs to be logged as on duty.

All that being said, as long as he never gets in a serious accident no one will ever know. Get in an accident involving fatalities and they are gonna find out, and bring the hammer down to make an example out of him. It won't matter if he caused the accident or not.
