I was told, that, if I'm ready to test tomorrow, then I would have to wait up to 30 days to get scheduled to take the skills test because the testers are so backed up. Is this normal?
Is it just me or does anybody else think that 30 days is too long between when your ready to take the test and when they can schedule you - - especially when there are thousands of dollars (for training) and a CDL on the line?

That seems rather absurd to me. Are we talking about the DMV skills test?
-
30 days is normal. i just wish somebody talked me out of it before i got into it. not a good career anymore. no respect from anyone out here. not even from other truckers. totally different industry then it use to be. good luck!

That happened to me. There was someone in my class taking the skills test that week. I bought him out for $200

I thought so too. And yes it is the DMV skills test.

30 days is normal.. Wow. I guess that'll be my newest concern going forward.

Are there other locations to test through near by or is it the only CMV station in the area? If it's the only option unfortunately there is no easy answer other than wait. I have to raise an eyebrow that they would be back logged that bad. Usually the road test doesn't take 45mins unless they are detouring by the local steakhouse/strip club. But IDK the facility either lol.

just pass thr first time around and you will be fineBuckeyeKev Thanks this.

The skills test is given by a tester from the DMV so I'm assuming that "30 days" is the same for all the surrounding areas. But I'm not 100% sure.
