405 miles yesterday. Portland to Sumner to Portland for D/Hs and drop in Portland to relay load. Headed back to Sumner for a D/H and dropped at the drop lot to relay load.
Had to have another discussion with my DBL. I had requested TAH to attend my nieces wedding 2 weeks ago. I sent another reminder on Monday. My last load was to P/U in Sumner to head to Woodland CA by the 16th. So he calls me when I am at the OC and asks me if I am good to go to Woodland. I remind him of my requests. Load was changed to relay in Sumner.
TAH till Monday.MThunter Thanks this. -
doesnt often come to anyhting but I have begun asking for confirmation they received the TAH message(s).

Sounds like something I will start to do.
MThunter Thanks this. -
That is good to do. I have had several requests not make it to my DBL. Always good to double check.
I am now working out of Dallas, as of last Monday. Went from Dallas to Atlanta, then to WV, OH, PA, NY, PA, OH, IN, OH. Next to IL. Definitely seeing some new countryside. Almost had a run-in with an Amish carriage the other night when it was raining/snowing. Tight two lane with a sharp 15 mph curve and the black carriage and black horse were almost invisible, except for the dim headlights. Luckily I didn't drag too much into the oncoming lane where they were. The Walmart where I parked had covered parking in the parking lot for the carriages. -
Glad to hear at least you are working out of TX.
509 miles today. BT 254 miles from Sumner to Hermiston to P/U MT. Headed North 34 miles to Pasco for a D/H tomorrow at noon appoinment. Made it back to the OC for the night.
When I got back to my truck from TAH, the QC would not connect. Called QC/IT support they could not get it to receive signal.
Had to run paper logs today. Have not done that since orientation. Came back pretty quickly.
Have to put truck in shop tomorrow AM before appoinment to get signal working.
Getting a new DBL tomorrow also. -
Went six days on paper logs earlier this year. Had one error but overall it wasn't too bad.

I started orientation at the Dallas OC today. I got out of Denver just before the snow hit. I'm excited to get going.

428 miles today. Replaced old QC with a new QC unit today. DBL had my relay load at the OC. He wanted me to go P/U load at 10:00 that was a 2 stop live load. He tells me this at 09:15. Loads were in Sunnyside and Pasco. Got to shipper and was told load would not be ready for 2 more hours. Live load Appointments were for 15:00 and 17:00 today. I told shipper that I could not make delivery appointments by 15:00 and 17:00 if I waited till noon to leave. Call DBL. They call C/S. After an hour wait, I get pulled from load.
New load is to DH to Pasco and return to Portland. Get to Pasco, change to load. Relay load at the OC. Load does not deliver till Thursday.
Crazy weather. High wind gust and rain. Crossing over the Columbia River from WA to OR, that elevated bridge was an adventure. I drove over it at 30MPH. The side wind from Pasco to the border was about 35-40 MPH. I have never held a steering wheel that tight for so long in my life. Thought about shutting it down at the border, but I figured that I had only 9 more miles with a side wind and then it would turn into a head wind once I got onto I-84. Boy was that some head wind. Lost a little over 1MPG in 150 miles. Lots of trees down on the road.Grijon, drvrtech77 and MThunter Thank this.
