Well @old iron look what happened on the northern route just west of Rhinelander on 8. Not exactly sure what Swifty was trying to do. I think maybe a U turn. I rolled up on it before any blue lights showed up. I detoured myself through the woods. IMG_20151117_175430072.jpg

You should take some of these routes Chewy. Get away from those interstates and most of your late evening truck stop problems would be solved.

I don't mind them in tx and co where the towns are spaced out. I hate em in ok and ks where the towns are every 10 miles.

I usually run 70 across then go up and over the scale. It seems like there is a town every 10 miles across hwy 8. But it still beats chicago hands down. Enjoy the ride.

Try western Okie and Kansas. You may have to slow down, but you won't have to stop tool much.

And every town has a Cenex fuel stop where you can park.

This has to be my smallest load EVER! We took two side dump trailers over to Spokane last Friday..... Well apparently they forgot to put the tarps back on the trailers so I had to take them over there. Maybe 500 pounds total and NO I am not going to tarp tarps. Hope I had enough WLL on them... LOL

This was a slightly over width load I took from Perth WA to Darwin NT which is 4,000 kms.
It was an undersea ROV with support gear which was worth millions of dollars. Big money in this sub-sea gear.
Only problem is some of the marine oil in it leaked onto one of the trailer wheels and it was near impossible to get off even with good degreaser. image.jpeg
