First of all, reason of dealing with the trucking company direct is I get better service dealing with them direct and when it comes to cost, I had much rather pay a trucking company or owner operator more than I pay the broker just for that service. I get more runaound from a broker.
As a shipper, how do I find owner operators?

This is an old string but I thought I would chime in. As an owner operator with my own authority I appreciate the shippers efforts to go direct. I wish there were more of you. I think most O/Op would agree...if the freight and pay is there I will get the equipment and insurance I need to haul it. The benefit of hiring an owner operator is we partner with you and you won't get someone new on every shipment. Hey if you are still looking for good carriers let me know
