Found out why it has all the hours on it it used to have one of the crash boxes mounted on the back so I can imagine it idled a lot with strobes on protecting the workers.

Keep in mind this is a HEUI engine so keep the oil changed for best performance....250-275 hours seemed to work the best. Also, the early ones ran a separate v-belt for the water pump and it usually never got adjusted as it isn't very accessible....check tensioner pulley bearings for this belt while you're there. Bearings are easily replaced with a press btw.
