Fedex vs Prime passing poll

In my Prime LW company truck, I try to blow the doors off the Amish Horse and Buggy any chance I get.
Truck does not go fast enough

 

FedEx Ground are owner operators and small fleets. Most of them go fast. FedEx Freight and express are the company trucks.

 

I remember the late 90's/early 2000's when it was common to make a fast trip across WY with some Prime trucks running with you. Of course I remember when National Carriers used to have guys lined up wanting to lease on too.

 

That might have been me. Always keep it hammered against the governor.

 

National Carriers was an elite fleet back then.

 

If you get passed by Prime, it might be time to do some soul searching.

That being said, the truck I just got rid of was an old Prime truck. The wrench told me the ECM said it would do 92, I had it up around 85 a few times.

 

I once saw the right side of a Prime trailer. That was the side facing up in the ditch.

 

I did get passed by several Prime's (among others) in a Werner truck one day. I promptly called my dispatcher and told him how USA, Prime and JB Hunt were taking my doors off. I was in the dealer that night.

 

I pass FedEx all the time. To be fair... half of them are in the median , or are upside down on the shoulder for some unknown reason.

You can probably guess. My BP elevates at the sight of one.

 

I think they've mellowed some as of late. Seemed like 06ish to 09 I was almost killed daily by a fed ex truck.
