1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Hi all, I’m Chad and I am actively pursuing a full-time company driver job. Class A, Hazmat, tanker, dbl/trip endorsements. Just renewed medical. Live in NC, I’m 61, had went back into sales last two years. Have decided to go back to trucking, need a reliable income my wife and I can count on to pay the bills.

I have 8 months OTR experience from 2013 from a single carrier (only one I worked for). 53’ dry vans, 25 east coast states. My MVR, background all clean. I don’t smoke or drink. Carrier wrote me up for three DAC incidents in 2013 while driving. All minor, non-injury, non-DOT, no tickets, no police reports, minor damages.

I have found my challenge is who can and/or will take me on with limited experience, 2 yrs since last driven, and DAC. I’m flexible: I used to run 5 days out and then went to 10-12 days out. Regional, national, dedicated…

Frankly, I would rather not go with one of the mega-carriers.
Thanks for your interest and any suggestions.

    Chad
