Lol....yes, we go there. And I would call into recruiting and introduce yourself. They will guide you along and advise you on the typical time frame.

I think @RebelChick jinxed me... Again!!!

Guess who was driving north in the rain after his last drop in Florida and had the drivers side wiper fall apart and lost the little piece that connects to the arm? Yeah... ME!!!

So I stopped at the nearest P/FJ and got a replacement and hit the road with an awesome new wiper blade that actually works and much better than the old one ever did.

Then, three hours later, about to cross into GA and, you guessed it, the passenger side blade came loose and totally flew off the darn truck... LOL

So, I hit the first P/FJ in GA and completed the set... Ok, so I should be good one wipers for the winter... If only my defrost worked... Yes, heading to Richmond today so I will take it out of commission until that gets fixed. Too close to winter for Heat/Defrost to be acting up.

    Stay Safe,
    MD

Well not forever, when I retire we are going to use our Navy "MOVE" mid year 2016 to move to PA, and PA is a cold place to move to in Dec. so i wanted to be able to go out there and see my wife from time to time until then. She's used to me being gone for the Navy, so long periods out won't be an issue. But I don't want the dogs to forget who I am... LOL ;-)

Well, I'm about to pull in to port for the last time ever with the US Navy, I am both excited and a little nervous at the same time. This has definitely been an adventure with ups and downs as any other job has but the security is what I will miss the most and the people, not so much the Navy per say.

I will retire in mid Dec. and officially Feb. 29th of 2016, I am ready to start growing my beard and a pony tail ;-) hehe, no pony tail I can't stand my hair touching my ears so I doubt that will ever happen...LOL

But in all seriousness I hope if I qualify to be joining the ranks at Abilene, and it is thanks to you folks JohnBoy, ScooterDog, Macdaddy, that I feel this is where I want to try.

I had that happen to me in Idaho Falls. Turned on the wipers and the drivers side came up and kept on going.....

    I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.

It's been an interesting day for me. Got a load to Coppell TX and while headed down I-81 near Wytheville, passed a slow car, which then sped up and passed me. Wouldn't be strange except the guy driving it was totally naked with just a towel over his lap. He kept trying to get my attention and yes I did look, but thank heavens my peripheral vision is good and I had my sunglasses on! He proceeded to slow again and I passed him. Again he comes around and this time he had put a sign in his window to honk if I wanted to see him naked. I suppose I should've just to see what he'd do, but I just wanted to get down the road. Never had anything like that happen before. Hope never again either.

What's the deal with operations? When it's time to come out of the house it's like pulling teeth. Today, as I was stopping in Kingman, my reload came across the QC. Drop this load I have at the Irving drop yard tomorrow, then grab an empty and dead head 510 miles to Byhalia Ms for a drop and hook going to Jacksonville for Monday at 1pm. I did this same load 2 weeks ago, there was an issue with no one being there to get my paperwork. It's in our system so they had to fax it to me. Today I had dispatch fax me the bills for the load I'll be picking up Sunday morning. When I think I have this all figured out, crappola like this happens.
