I notice you are a student. Let us know after you get out there.
By the way. The only real choice I had, I took. Leave under good situations. They want illegal, then they have to hire someone else. Meanwhile, you have to make a living. It is a comment I tell them when hired.
Nature of trucking is villain, too

Hi Roadmedic,
Well sir I will do my best to keep this board informed. I know that being a student means I have allot to learn, especially in this industry. I find it sad that guys have to do this, just to make an honest living. Look at what you guys are jeopardizing. I hope I have what it takes to overcome the challenge.
I started a Blog on this board, so i will place my progress through there. I only have my history on there now though.
Thanks for your comments, they are appreciated, and as a student, they are definatley needed.

Good luck. It is not all companies. There are some worse than others. Stick to your principles and let them know it.Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
and that is why we never get anywhere, when you give in to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I truly believe that the company is just as guilty, they knew #### right well what they where doing. When will an end be put to companies like this!! What will it take for them to see through the $ signs, and realize there is an actual person involved here, not a robot, and if not for the drivers, we wouldnt make any money at all!!!

Ya and things will blow over on the seashores of old Mexico -
I agree, I'm waiting for the day when one of those compaines I worked for in the past to have there day in court, I plan to some way be there.

in my opinion, responsibility lies with the individual drivers. drivers are not forced to do anything. there may be pressure to keep a contract or job, but make no mistake, force is not involved. selling one's labor is a voluntary interaction and a driver may walk away anytime they feel their job is unreasonable. your labor is valuable, sell it wisely.

And when your DAC prevents you from getting another job because your previous company blacklisted you for refusing runs? What do you do then? Force IS involved, it's just not physical.

Oh so this is the true story the version I heard was that he spend a 34 hour reset drinking and partying with his buddies and then ran a load and feel asleep, just goes you know when a trucker is lieing because his lips are moving but anyways it would really suck if this was all over some cheap wal mart load or some cheap freight, if its something important or a hot load I will do what I can to get it there early or asap but if I have some cheap wal mart freight ha they can suck my balls I tell them it will get there when it gets there I do my best not to support communist wal mart but sometimes you gotta do it

I agree with most of you comment, but how is Wal-Mart communist???
Are they not the epitome of Capitalism? I mean, those who despise the Free Market System in this country compare the late Sam Walton with the 19th century "Robber Barons".
This link below states (your communist claim) otherwise:
