Tonight. And they wanted to put three more bundles on this poor old all steel 4 axle. Already 77 psi in the trailer bags and 41k lbs on the drives. Hell no!
Sleepy68 Thanks this. -

Nope I get a flat .40 cpm. This job was the best offer out of two weeks of filling out every app I could find. The other 2 offers were western express and Carolina cargo. So I rolled the dice with the 20 truck outfit.
Hurst Thanks this. -
I come across many like that where its ridiculous to tarp the load. Rusty steel that has been stored out in a yard in the grass for example. Then there are loads that you have no choice,.. they all want it tarped,.. even though its a load of chopped/mulched rubber in super sacks.

Chewy352 Thanks this.

It will come. Just maintain your current path. Keep it clean. Dont do anything to jeopardize where you want to be and it will happen. This is where most rookies lose their cool and fall off the wagon and then dont understand why they cant find work.
Your doing fine.

Well if my situation was better I'd do that hurst but frankly I'm lucky to be driving and not for the 2 listed above. Apparently we had a driver that was hauling a load of lumber and the rate con said to tarp. Shipper told him it wasn't necessary so he didn't and didn't say anything to anyone. Well of course the load got soaked and the consignee rejected the load. That driver no longer drives for us. I can't afford to be that driver.
I've got 6 more months and I'll have 1 year with the same carrier and I'll have 18 months post accident driving. In January 2017 I'll be 3 years post accident. So I gotta make this work for now.blacklabel and Hurst Thank this. -
Yep I'm giving this company at least till may. Sometime next summer we're thinking of moving up to Columbus Ohio so the wife can be closer to her good sister. I will also have a better job market so I'll start looking for local work.
tsavory Thanks this.
